Red Tent Dames
The concept of a Red Tent, also known as a moon lodge, menstrual hut or dark moon meeting, was brought back into mainstream popular culture by the 1997 novel The Red Tent by Anita Diamant. The Red Tent was a place where women passed on knowledge from generation to generation and supported one another in daily struggles.
Red Tent Dames is an opportunity for women to support women. Each week, the dames discuss what matters to them. There is no official format to this group, anyone can bring something to share. The focus, however, is personal growth and empowerment through interaction and support from and with other women.
Red Tent Dames meets every Thursday, except the fourth Thursday where all dames are encouraged to join the book club.
Divine Goddess Book Club
The Divine Goddess Book Club is one of our regular events and is about empowering women. Books include various fiction and non fiction titles that allow for engaging and enlightening conversations that foster friendship and empowerment for women. The group discusses the same book in various parts for an entire month meeting every Thursday. As always, with this Book Club: You don’t have to read the books. You don’t have to come to every gathering.
Come when you are called. Share how you feel. Visit the Facebook group to continue the conversation!
